JESUS CHANGE MY MIND!
There is a saying that says "a closed mouth will not get fed." I feel it should say a closed mind will not get fed. If we are closed minded people we don't have room to grow, and we don't have room to learn. How can you learn with a closed mind? In order for me to grow into a better mom, a better friend, a better sister, and a better and stronger relationship with God I have to Open my mind to new things.Things I would not normally do that God needs me to do. I want to become the person God needs me to be.
One day I had to ask God to change my mind, I always ask God to change my heart but my heart was not the problem the way I think and see things was. I didn't know it at the time but God has opened my mind in a way I never imagined could happen. I see things clearer, I know how to make choices and good decisions, I know how to find a career, I know how to choose the right path for my life. I'm still learning, and I'm still growing. I don't know everything but the blinders are off. I'm open to new possibilities, greater possibilities; I'm open for real change in my life.
““ Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. [Luke 11:9-13]”

I have three scriptures that I pray almost every day to help me change my mind and stay on the right path. Number one the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22 This helps me ask God to give me his gifts: love ,peace, joy, self control, patience, kindness, long-suffering,gentleness without this scripture and prayer I'm nothing. I prayed this scripture for a long time before asking God to change my Heart ,but I could not apply it to my life until I asked God to change my mind. Now I know how to make these things work in my life and how to apply God's gifts in my life.
“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”

The next scripture that helps me so much and I try to pray this daily is Lord be a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path Psalms 119:105. This one really helped me when I asked God to change my mind.God's light helps me see things clearly, helps me to understand what God needs me to learn from my tests and trials; helps me understand the things that God is asking me to do. And how to stay on the right path doing the right things, making better choices, and better decisions for my life and my children's lives.
“¶Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. [Prov 6:23]”

Finally this one has become one of my favorite scriptures, faith without works is dead James 2:20-23, I love this scripture, it has become my favorite because I did not understand it before I thought oh! get a job or work hard at the job you have and God will bless you with things or your bills or your finances. I did not know that the one thing I need to work hard at more than anything is my relationship with God! My relationship with God is more important than anything. When I build that relationship and work hard at it and work hard at growing and becoming more like Christ,God will bless me in so many ways I can't even imagine. I give all of my hard Work to help build God's kingdom and my relationship with God,and he will help me learn how to work hard in other areas of my life and he will also bless other areas in my life if I work hard for him.
“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”
James 2:20-23 KJV

I hope this is something that will bless you after you read it. I hope these are things you can apply to your life the same as I'm trying to apply them to my life.I pray the Scriptures bless you and bring you comfort and salvation, that you never had before I pray God open your mind your heart your ear so that you can learn and grow from him. I pray these things for myself as well and my children in Jesus name Amen.
