Put on Gods Armor!

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.”

Ephesians 6:14 NLT

"Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness" means to firmly hold your position in the face of spiritual challenges, by grounding yourself in the truth of God's word, which acts as a foundation for your life, and by living righteously, which is like wearing protective armor against evil forces

To live righteously means to conduct your life with moral integrity, treating others with kindness and respect, being honest and trustworthy, taking responsibility for your actions, and striving to do what is right even when it's challenging, essentially aligning your behavior with your personal values and principles of what is good and just; this can often involve following religious teachings or ethical guidelines depending on your beliefs.

Key aspects of living righteously include:

  • Compassion and kindness: Showing empathy and concern for others, actively seeking to help those in need.
Honesty and integrity: Always speaking the truth and acting with sincerity in all situations.
Justice and fairness: Standing up against injustice and advocating for what is right.
Self-discipline: Controlling your impulses and making conscious choices to act morally.
Responsibility: Acknowledging your actions and their consequences, taking accountability for your choices.
Respect for others: Valuing the dignity and worth of all individuals.

Religious perspectives on righteousness:

  •  Living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, demonstrating love, forgiveness, and service to others.
Following the laws and commandments , practicing acts of charity and social justice.

Prayer for Salvation

Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. By faith I open the door of my life and my heart to receive You as my Savior and my Lord. Please forgive me of my sins. Thank you for your grace and for giving me eternal life. Take control of the decisions of my life. The Bible says that in you I am now a new person. My past has been erased from the record and all things have become new. I now receive your Holy Spirit who promised to never leave me. Fill me with new desires that are honoring you, and help me to become the kind of person you want me to be.
